Taylor Rae

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist Taylor Rae is a rising star on the Americana music scene. In October 2021, Rae released her debut album, "Mad Twenties." The record went on to become a fixture on the Americana Radio charts for 31 weeks, marking the longest duration for any independently released album in 2022. The single, "Home on the Road," remained in the Top 10 for five consecutive weeks. Taylor regularly performs nationwide to sold-out crowds alongside luminaries such as Sierra Hull, John Craigie, and Pokey LaFarge, as well as headlining shows with her own band.

An engaging, dynamic performer, Rae’s unique 60's & 70's inspired sound blends r&b, jazz, funk and blues/rock into a beautiful melting pot of organic music she calls "Soul and Roll". Effortlessly traversing a spectrum of emotions, Rae captivates her audiences with clear, soulful vocals, compelling songwriting, and endearing storytelling abilities.

"Taylor Rae’s edgy vocals slide easily from tender to tough, from a gentle whisper on folk ballads to soaring shouts on the blues and blues-rock striders. [She is] a singer fully in command of her vocal gifts and a songwriter who enfolds her lyric sensibility in haunting musical sketches."
Henry Carrigan, No Depression

“I feel like I’m listening to the Bonnie Raitt of the next generation.”
Kathy Mattea, NPR Mountain Stage

“Rae opened with songs from her debut album, Mad Twenties, and sang them with a clarity and conviction that belies her relative youth. The material reflected both her singing and songwriting skills, and in the process, she wholly enticed the crowd which, in turn, reacted enthusiastically to each of her offerings. Her music follows a tradition established by Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with more than a hint of Allison Krauss to boot. The fact that she shares her songs from a personal perspective helps underscore her allure.”
Lee Zimmerman, Bluegrass Today
