Rich Cowan and Jewl Sandoval have played blues together for over 20 years, covering artists such as Taj Mahal, Howling Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, and many others.
Jewl Sandoval has been rocking the Bay Area for decades. His blues harp and soulful vocal style have brought smiles to folks of all ages. He also plays a bit of dobro. He's written a number of blues tunes, produced three CDs, and has hosted countless blues jams. In the process he has mixed it up with many of today's blues stars, including Coco Montoya.
Rich is a great finger-picking guitarist and vocalist. He also plays some sweet slide guitar. He has applied his expressive sound to many bands he’s played with over the years. Robert Johnson, Mississippi John Hurt, Reverend Gary Davis, Big Bill Broonzy, Willie McTell, Blind Man Blake and numerous other legendary acoustic guitar players all figure into his funky blues techniques.
