"I attended a Jazz show in Carmel, California. I was enjoying the Jazz quartet that was playing; then it was announced that they had a guest singer named Julie Capili. I had never heard of her so I was anxious to hear what she sounded like. Wow! Her vocal style was truly amazing! I was amazed at her talent and ability to dazzle the crowd. One gentleman heard her and immediately wanted to book her for some event that he and his wife were organizing. I was able to talk with Julie and she is a very nice and down-to-earth person as well. I think that is why her singing is so great, because she really puts her genuine personality into her songs and the renditions of songs that she sings. That is another thing worth mentioning, she can take a classic female Jazz vocalist's song and make it hers while still retaining the elements of the song that makes it a favorite."
