A veteran of many musical genres, Fred McCarty's background includes composition and performance experience in Jazz, classical, rock, bluegrass, and country. Fred's warm, rich vocals and expressive, fluid guitar work deliver a performance that is dynamic and full of energy. Professional in every way, McCarty has toured nationwide and won numerous awards as a songwriter and as a performer.
His original sound is best described as "New Country" - a blend of standard country with a little bit of rock and R&B. Fred is constantly updating his extensive songlist, which includes many country favorites such as Vince Gill, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Brooks and Dunn, Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, and many others. He also plays many great 50s through 90s classic rock artists, such as The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doobie Brothers, The Doors, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and many more.
Available as a solo artist for intimate events, Fred can also perform as a duo, trio, or full band. He frequently performs for weddings , and is available as a
children's entertainer, as well.

Raised in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, Fred McCarty is a musician's musician. He has composed well in excess of three hundred songs and compositions. His background includes composition and performance experience in jazz, rock, R&B, and classical, with deep roots in bluegrass and country. He studied jazz with Chuck Mangione, classical guitar with Stanley Watson and is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
