Guitar playing is Gil Cadilli's passion.
His jazzy edge and attitude recall some of the innovators of the genre,
such as Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, and Kenny Burrell. Gil played guitar
and bass for blues legend Charlie Musselwhite for six years and has shared
the stage with Los Lobos, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bonnie Raitt, David
Lindley, Chris Isaak, Bo Diddley, and many more. A featured artist at
the 55th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival (2012), as well as the Monterey
Bay Blues Festival (2012), Gil also served as resident musical director
of El Teatro Campesino in 18 productions and workshops.
Billy Edgell is an excellent Jazz guitarist and ethnomusicologist well
versed in many forms of American music. Billy has been performing and
teaching music in the Santa Cruz area for 40 years. He has been (for the
past 26 years) and is currently the lead guitarist with the Santa Cruz
based Nora Cruz Sextet.
This multi-talented duo perform an excellent variety of jazz standards
for guitar. Whether it's lively cocktail jazz, or intimate dinner jazz,
